MedMeetings 2025

Now in its ninth edition, MedMeetings is one of the most significant professional platforms of the MedFilm Festival. The initiative is designed to position Italy as a strategic hub in the Euro-Mediterranean co-production landscape, fostering dialogue and partnerships between producers, writers, distributors, and other key professionals in the regional film industry.

With its solid institutional framework and long-standing international network, MedMeetings offers fertile ground for developing collaborative projects, strengthening industry alliances, and stimulating cross-border co-productions across the Mediterranean.

The MedPitching section showcases seven selected film projects from different Mediterranean countries, presented to an audience of Italian and European industry professionals. The most promising project will receive the MedPitching Award of €1,000, and, should an Italian co-producer join the project, an additional €1,000 will be awarded to support the partnership.

Alongside, the MedWIPs – MedFilm Works in Progress section presents six films in late stages of production, seeking support for post-production. The projects will be presented in a dedicated screening session and followed by one-to-one meetings. A jury composed of Antonio Badalamenti, Sara Fgaier and Maria Teresa Cavina will assign the following prizes:

• OIM Award – €10,000
• Stadion Video Award – €3,500 for DCP creation
• FM Records Award – €1,000 for original soundtrack
